I want a StAgE nAmE! Help me out ladies and gents!

I have discussing this recently with my hoop lovin friends, but I have decided I definatley need/want a FABULOUS stage name!
Christina gave me some ideas- Miss Mandi, Mistress Mandi, Little Miss Mandi, Madame Mandi
I thought of a funny one, but I dont know if I would actually do it.
As some of you may have seen, my butt definatley makes an appearence at Glitterball. Butt cleavage, if you will. So- Mandi Moons. Te he!
Back in my candy raver days, my nickname was Tink -so was Christinas!-
And of course, I could use my real name Amanda or just totally make something up that has nothing to do with my name.
What about just Mandi?

Do you have a stage name? How did you get it? Do you want a hooping/stage name? Lets all brainstorm!

Anyway, hooping names. I haven't found of one for myself, but I will know it when I hear it. Mediatinker doesn't quite work for hooping. :-)

There are endless opportunities. The way I think of a stage name is the way I think of tattoos. It has to be something that means something to you.

I don't have one for myself. Bunny and I have brain stormed a lot about this. I don't feel a real need for one but I don't like people using my last name, it is not something I associate with, I have considered changing my last name but there is nothing that puts me in a spin enough to go through the process.

My moniker for along time was dd king. I probably associate with that name more than anything else.

It's very fitting, you'd realize once you got to know me a bit. But when I was welcomed into the open arms of hoop dance and fire performance my style of dance and passion for the hoop solidified the name as more than just a nickname and really became MINE. When I started to perform with fire my fire family gave me my stage name. It was tradition to name our fire fledgelings as they really began to find themselves in the fire. Thus, Gypsy Fyre was born.

My name has been an evolution...something that started as a cute but fitting nickname and grew into who I am. One thing I learned in the process (same with Playa names) you must earn your name and have it bestowed upon you.

We were discussing this at dinner yesterday. Hoop stars names can get suspiciously pornesque. We are sexy creatures, though, so it is hard to avoid!

I like Tink - I see her as spunky, creative, part steampunk, part Tank Girl. That is how I actually feel on the inside, but have not managed to exude it into real life. Now I can put Tink on stage in all her glory, or at least parade her around the park on Sundays. Permalink Reply by Spanky on November 6, 2008 at 10:39pm: alrighty then, my nickname slash stage name is Spanky :) My real name is Stepanka (it's Czech, Stephanie is the anglicized form) but no one could pronounce it properly in my nightlife days so that teamed with what I was like as a younkin (I used to do a bondage themed strip-show... prolly better not to ask!) led to being christened Spanky. I felt the same way as Dee Dee about my surname and actually changed my name for my 20th birthday, scrapped my surname totally so I am officially Stepanka No Registered Surname, they didn't know what to do with that on my passport cause they had to put something in the family name form field or it wouldn't process on the computer so the chic doing it entered in XXX, now since all my ID in Japan is based on my passport I'm Stepanka XXX everywhere.
